Subject: more for you
Fun show, with a somewhat different crowd than usual for a Reflections gig. Maybe a tad less "reverant"? Some of the regular worshippers gettin' their kids ready for the start of school, or getting ready to teach.
Pretty great line-up here, with Guberman playing nothin but B3 and damn it sure sounded sweet. I loved surfing the swells with Stu's stellar rhythm guitar backing him up. Pete's drums at the foot of the stage just brought The Spirit that much closer. John-Paul was solid and the ladies brought the house down.
I was a bit late for this one and the show started nearly on time so I missed the first couple tunes (thank you for the recording, Jon!). The highlights for me this time around
He Ain't Give You None -- beautifully played by everyone, with an especially lovely solo by Stu (around 4:00 - 7:00)
I Shall Be Released -- my filthy soul crawled into the B3 and came out super clean and fresh smelling
Deal -- always a barn burner; the ceiling opened up and we all flew right out
Twilight -- another fantastic song, perfect for this band
That's Alright Mama -- short and sweet, love the drumming on this one!
